Eltel has been awarded a contract to build the grid connection for Hyperco’s Data Center in Lohja, Finland. Hyperco is part of the Dubai-based DAMAC Group, one of the world's leading real estate development companies.
The contract includes the turnkey delivery of a 110 kV substation and cabling connecting Hypeco’s new Data Center site to Fingrid’s national transmission grid. The contract runs until the end of 2027.
As global demand for digital infrastructure, such as cloud services, artificial intelligence, and data processing, continues to accelerate, data center investments are rising rapidly across Europe. Finland has become an increasingly attractive destination for these projects thanks to its cool climate, reliable energy infrastructure, extensive fibre connectivity, and stable operating environment.
