Jan Nørmark – Senior Project Manager

Hi Jan. Could you tell us what you do on a day-to-day basis?

As a Senior Project Manager for Eltel’s smart meter roll-out projects, my role is extremely varied. I am responsible for contract management, progress and financial follow up, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, invoicing, updating and improving our processes, personnel development and motivation, as well as change management to ensure maximum customer and Eltel value.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love everything about my job! I particularly enjoy developing the individuals in my team, achieving results and ensuring our customers are satisfied. I also really like working on high-volume projects.

Can you tell us what are you working with now?

I have recently led the completion of two very successful high-volume smart meter projects in Norway and am now involved in the bidding and planning of multiple smart meter roll-out projects in Sweden. Smart meter installation is a step towards a smarter society that optimises our electricity grids and promotes energy efficiency.

What are your aspirations for the future?

I want to continue to work with smart meter roll-out in the Nordics and further develop my team. What we have is quite unique – highly efficient processes that draw on our extensive experience to deliver the best possible customer solution.
