Eltel sign frame agreement the Norwegian Defence Materiel Administration

Eltel and the Norwegian Defence Materiel Administration have entered into a new framework agreement for installation services and materials worth about EUR 8.4 million.

Eltel has been selected as the supplier for installation services and materials, with the agreement set to last 2 years, with an option for 2 more years. Security and sustainability are key factors in the new framework agreement, effective from April 2025.

The purpose of the procurement is to meet the Armed Forces' needs for installation services for new establishment, expansions, changes and repairs of cable systems and adjacent interfaces in the Armed Forces' ICT infrastructure in the sub-regions Nordland, Central Norway and Southwest Norway.

"The tasks are at the core of our expertise in developing, operating, and maintaining critical infrastructure," says Ingrid Tjøsvold, Managing Director of Eltel Norway. "With an increasing threat landscape and the digitalization of society, robust, efficient telecommunications networks are essential. We look forward to continue our strong collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces and together strengthen these crucial areas."
