Eltel wins five rail and road contracts at a total value of EUR 15 million in the Nordics
The Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet) has ordered an installation of a new Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) for the new highway North of Silkeborg in Western Denmark. Eltel’s scope of installations includes surveillance and incident detection systems, a data communications system, Un-interruptable Power Supply (UPS), as well as detailed design implementation, testing and commissioning. The project is planned to start in October 2015 and to be completed by the end of 2016.
The Danish Railway Administration (Banedanmark) has signed a contract on rebuilding of a rail track between the cities of Nyborg and Odense. Eltel will act as a subcontractor to a consortium consisting of Strukton Rail and Arkil A/S. The technical installations include among others the following: a catenary system, point heater systems, speed adjustment systems and commissioning of signaling systems. The project is planned to be executed during 2016.
The Swedish Transportation Administration (Trafikverket) has ordered design and build of a management system for track point heaters. The installations consist of about 170 stations located in the south of Sweden and are scheduled for implementation from 2015 until 2018. In addition, Eltel will deliver nationwide Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) detector system for 60 geographical locations in Sweden.
The Finnish Transport Agency (Liikennevirasto) has selected Eltel as a contract partner to build electrification for the railway between Pietarsaari and Pännäinen as well as new electrification for transports between the city of Pietarsaari and its harbor. The project is planned to be executed during 2016.
